RAKYAT TODAY.ID _ JAKARTA – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) as a state instrument plays a role in maintaining public security and order, enforcing the law, providing protection, shelter, and public service. In addition, the National Police also plays an important role in the development and implementation of IKN.
This was conveyed by the Minister of National Development Planning, Suharso Monoarfa when giving a speech at the 2022 leadership meeting of National Police with the theme “Precision Police in Economic Recovery and Structural Reform, and Securing the Government’s Agenda for the Success of National Development Towards Advanced Indonesia”, Wednesday (2/3/2022).
“In order to support the Smart City concept, the National Police is expected to be able to build a high-tech Smart Security Concept so that it supports the safe and secure city target,” said Minister
The Minister further conveyed that the smart security concept that will be built by the National Police in IKN is carried out through activities to improve police services.
In addition, the smart security concept promoted at IKN prioritizes crime prevention by paying attention to cost-effectiveness and quality of spending, as well as the most modern technology so that it can be used as best practice for other regions in the future.
Minister Suharso also explained that IKN Nusantara was built with the concept of Forest City. That is cities that apply an integrated landscape approach and are dominated by landscapes with forest structures and green open spaces.
According to him, this aims to create a life that coexists with nature and supports sustainable development, in particular maximizing carbon sequestration and conservation of biodiversity, as well as improving the quality of the environment.(RS/PP)
