Patuan Anggi, right in front of (Tarutung Hospital) Siwaluompu, Hutatoruan X Village, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency, was engulfed by the red rooster, Wednesday (16/2) at 23.30 WIB. The four houses are known to belong to Gregorius Manoga Banjarnahor (54), Parlindungan Simamora (60), Ramlan Purba (45) and Amrin (36), all residents of Patuan Anggi. Taput Police Chief AKBP Ronald Sipayung, through the Head of Public Relations Aiptu W. Baringbing, confirmed the incident. The testimony of one of the witnesses we interrogated at the scene, Gabriel Banjarnahor, who first saw the incident, at around 23.30 WIB, said that the witness wanted to go into his room to sleep. When he was about to enter his room, the witness saw a puff of smoke coming from behind the house and then looked into the kitchen to see the gas stove. It can be seen from the gas stove in the witness’ house that there is no smoke, to find out where the smoke is coming from and then look behind his neighbor’s house, Parlindungan Simamora, it turns out that the fire has burned the kitchen part of Parlindungan Simamora’s house. Seeing this, the Witness immediately woke up his parents to get out and tried to build Parlindungan Simamora. After hearing the screams from witness Parningotan Simamora woke up, it was known that the fire was getting bigger and local residents came and tried to put out the fire. Half an hour later the Taput Regency Government fire truck arrived at the scene and in less than an hour the fire was extinguished. The front of the four double houses are permanent, but the kitchen is made of wood so that the fire can spread quickly. In this incident there were no casualties but material losses were estimated at 700,000,000 (Twenty Hundred barrels of Rupiah) “Currently we are conducting a crime scene investigation to investigate the cause of the fire,” explained Barimbing to the media crew.
