RAKYAT TODAY.ID _ MIMIKA PAPUA – Papua’s original daughter, keyza Amy erna kagaimau edoway, or better known keyza edoway earns two titles on the miss ultra universe event held in Brazil, February 2022.
The award between them came in second place at the national costume competition wearing traditional NTT looms and earning a degree from miss social media.
In Brazil, keyza not only represents Indonesia but represents the Asia continent on a show followed by representatives of 16 countries.
Arriving at mozes kiltimika airport, Monday (7/3/2022), undergrad student of Sam ratrepeat manado was greeted by a dance dance dance by a peteapot’s sons and daughters.
In his remarks, keyza said that representing Indonesia to international events was a long journey that still felt like a dream to him.
Although he had come from the usual place and the family just as he was, he was proud to represent Indonesia in the international arena.
He thanked almighty god and all papuan people more especially the land of mimika who had supported him in prayer so that he could win credit for this event.
“I thank god and to all the community and also the sponsors that sponsor me up to the international level,” he says.
At the welcoming ceremony, dominggus kapiyau welcomes the indigenous people of amungme, kamoro and seven tribal clans.
He brings his thanks to keyza for raising mimika’s name in the ultra universe gathering in Brazil.
Dominggus said that all achievement and recognition would be maintained and increased.
“A presence in Brazil adds a new record to mimika, known beyond all the years just for a giant mine but now with beautiful and talented daughters introducing mimika abroad,” she says.
He is also grateful to keyza’s parents who have educated and mentored keyza to represent Indonesia in international events.(Rambo Kalikopi)
